3. AI and Automated Processing

Acquisition Desk may use artificial intelligence, machine learning, algorithms, third-party AI providers, or automated processing to analyze User Content and generate outputs.

Information you submit may be processed by AI systems or service providers to provide platform features such as listing extraction, financial analysis, risk review, memo generation, broker questions, diligence checklists, and related outputs.

You should not submit information you are not authorized to share or information that is subject to confidentiality restrictions unless you have permission to do so.

For a concise explanation of the application’s verified controls and provider-specific limitations, see our Security & Data Practices page.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information in the traditional sense.

We may share information with the following categories of recipients:

We may share information with vendors who help us operate the platform, including hosting providers, cloud infrastructure providers, authentication providers, AI providers, payment processors, analytics providers, email providers, database providers, logging tools, customer support tools, and security providers.

Payment Processors

Payment information may be processed by third-party payment providers. Your payment activity may be subject to their separate terms and privacy policies.

Legal and Compliance

We may disclose information if we believe it is necessary to comply with law, legal process, court orders, government requests, tax obligations, regulatory requirements, or to protect our rights, users, platform, or others.

Business Transfers

If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, bankruptcy, or similar transaction, information may be transferred or disclosed as part of that transaction.

With Your Direction

We may share information when you instruct us to do so or when you use features that are designed to export, download, send, or share information.

5. Data Storage and Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. However, no system, network, software platform, or method of transmission is completely secure.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for using secure devices, networks, and passwords.

6. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the platform, maintain your account, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, improve our services, and maintain business records.

You may request deletion of your account and associated application data by contacting support@acquisitiondesk.ai. Requests are verified and handled through a support-managed process; deletion is not automatic or instantaneous. We may retain limited information where reasonably necessary for billing, tax, security, fraud-prevention, backup, legal, or dispute-resolution purposes, or to enforce agreements.

7. Your Choices

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of certain personal information.

You may also be able to update certain account information directly within the platform.

To make a privacy request, contact us at support@acquisitiondesk.ai.

8. Email Communications

We may send service and transactional messages related to your account, authentication, billing, security, support, and platform activity.

Optional promotional or marketing email is not currently enabled for the service. If we enable it in the future, those messages will be separate from essential service communications and will include an unsubscribe option. Opting out of marketing messages will not stop necessary service or transactional messages.

9. Cookies and Similar Technologies

First-party browser storage may contain anonymous or session analytics identifiers; first-touch and last-touch attribution information, including UTM campaign parameters and Google click-attribution information such as GCLID when supplied; and temporary SBA Calculator assumptions used to continue into a new deal.

Calculator continuation assumptions are kept in session storage and expire after approximately 24 hours; they may be removed sooner when used or when the browser session ends. Some first-party attribution information may remain until application logic replaces or clears it, or you clear your browser data. This storage supports attribution, product continuity, analytics, and reliability or fraud-prevention needs as appropriate. Calculator assumptions are not sent to third-party advertisers; they may be sent to Acquisition Desk when you choose to continue into the app.

We and our service providers may also use cookies, local storage, analytics tools, pixels, or similar technologies to operate the platform, remember preferences, authenticate users, analyze usage, improve performance, and support security.

You may be able to control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect platform functionality.

10. Third-Party Links and Services

Acquisition Desk may contain links to third-party websites, listings, services, tools, payment processors, authentication providers, or other external resources.

We are not responsible for the privacy practices, content, security, or policies of third parties. Your interactions with third parties are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

11. Children’s Privacy

Acquisition Desk is intended for adults age 18 and older and is not directed to children. People under 18 should not create an account or use the service. We do not knowingly collect personal information from people under 18.

If we learn that someone under 18 has provided personal information, we will take reasonable steps to delete it, subject to applicable legal, billing, security, or fraud-prevention requirements.

12. California Privacy Notice

Because JCP Ventures LLC is based in California and users may be California residents, this section provides additional information for California users.

Depending on applicable law and your relationship with us, California residents may have certain rights regarding personal information, including the right to request access, deletion, correction, or information about certain disclosures.

To submit a California privacy request, contact us at support@acquisitiondesk.ai.

13. Chrome Extension

Acquisition Desk offers a Chrome extension called Acquisition Desk Clipper. The extension helps users save and analyze business-for-sale listings from broker websites in their Acquisition Desk account.

When a user clicks the extension, the extension may read information from the active browser tab, including the page URL, page title, selected text, and visible listing text from the page. This information is used to create or analyze a deal in Acquisition Desk.

The extension does not run automatically on all browsing activity. It only captures page content when the user intentionally activates the extension. The extension does not sell personal information, does not use captured page content for advertising, and does not collect browsing history unrelated to the user’s requested listing import.

Information sent from the extension to Acquisition Desk is transmitted securely to Acquisition Desk’s servers and handled according to this Privacy Policy.

14. Business, Financial, and Acquisition Information

Acquisition Desk is designed to help users evaluate business acquisition opportunities. As a result, you may enter business financial information, deal information, listing information, seller information, broker information, and other acquisition-related data.

You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to provide this information to us and that your use of the platform complies with any confidentiality agreements, broker rules, seller restrictions, data room terms, employment obligations, nondisclosure agreements, or other applicable obligations.

15. Product Analytics and Attribution

Public analytics may begin with anonymous or session identifiers. After you sign in, analytics records may be associated with your user account for product, reliability, security, usage, and support purposes. The identifiers used for that association may include an Acquisition Desk account identifier and an authentication-provider identifier.

We may record the allowlisted campaign fields utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_term, and utm_content; a limited referral-source classification (including referrals from AI services); and landing-page paths. When supplied, Google click-attribution information such as GCLID may be stored separately in private marketing-attribution records and associated with later signup or product milestones. Raw GCLID is not included in ordinary analytics event properties. New analytics events store only a GCLID-presence flag and normalized referrer host, not the raw click ID or full referrer URL. Buyer-facing app responses do not include raw GCLID. We do not use this analytics system to store full URLs, arbitrary query strings, fragments, IP addresses, calculator values, financial inputs, deal content, documents, or Copilot messages.

16. International Users

Acquisition Desk is operated from the United States. If you access the platform from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be processed and stored in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate.

17. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we may provide notice by posting the updated Privacy Policy on the platform, updating the “Last Updated” date, sending an email, or using other reasonable methods.

Your continued use of Acquisition Desk after an updated Privacy Policy becomes effective means you acknowledge the updated policy.
